Total Noob - Guild Wars Forums

Hey guys, I haven't bought the game yet... ran into some financial problems. But I have played on a friends comp up to about level 3. just messing around, not paying much attention. I was wanting some feedback on some of my choices for characters. i prefer the roleplaying side of the game, but love to be able to switch to pvp easily by simply changing out my skills. anyways, here are a few of my ideas and a brief reasoning.

Necromancer/Ranger: i could actually do this one reverse if it would be better. haven't quite learned the ins and outs of creation yet. basically in pve i want him to be a nuker and in pve i want him to be a major debuffer. flinging pin shot and various curses.hexes.

Elementalist/Ranger: pure nuker

Necromancer/mesmer: Not sure how well he would do in pve. seems like he would be a great support class and if i ran him right, my party wouldn't need a monk..... if i ran him right.

Necromancer/monk: Pure support

a friend of mine also suggested i run a necro/warr or some variation of that... but i tend to like being at a range if i can. anyways, hit me with some input. would be much appreciated since i only know one person who plays this game

It's not really going to matter what anyone says here. You are going to make a character, play it and love it. Then, your going to see some combo or some great use for another character and make a new character. You will probably do this a few times and by then, you will understand everything well enough that any help anyone offers here will already be known to you.

Make what sounds like fun, then have fun. This is one of the few things in life that just cant be done wrong.
